Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation

The 3rd cycle of the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation is now open. This award is set up by United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), the World Association of the Major metropolises (Metropolis) and the City of Guangzhou. It aims at recognizing and rewarding innovative policy practices in cities and regions around the world.

Winners of the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation will receive a sum of $20,000 dollars, a trophy and a certificate. In addition, they will be invited to several events related to the award, such as the award ceremony, the Guangzhou International Conference on Urban Innovation and an exhibition.

The Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation will reward cities and regions that have implemented innovative policies relating to social, economic or environmental innovations, governance and management, and technology. It is possible to submit a maximum of three initiatives under the same title, should they form a connecting, integrated policy project.
