Call of Expression of Interest: A Consultancy Study for UCLG Africa
United Cities and Local Governments of Africa is launching a call of expression of interest to provide consultancy service to existing national local government associations (LGAs) in Africa. The project aims at strengthening the capacities of these associations to allow them to fulfil their mandates pertaining to the institutional and technical support to their members.
The experts who will be appointed to conduct this study will have to proceed to the institutional diagnosis of existing LGAs to assess their needs and tailor support packages to be mobilized on a demand basis.
This call is aimed at experts who reside in one of the following countries: Ghana, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Cameroon, Tchad, Cape Verde, Botswana, and Malawi. They also must submit a proposal for the execution of the assignment specifying the following:
Concept Definition: Demonstrate understanding of the concept of Capacity Development Needs Assessment with reference to local authorities and local governance. (Maximum one page)
Methodology to be applied for the study (Up to one page)
Plan of Execution of the Study (Schedule of Activities/ tasks)
Commencement and Completion dates
The Deadline date for receipt of Expression of Interest to conduct study is 22 July 2016.
