Solidarity visit to see the impact of Cyclone Idai

Following the aftermath of Cyclone Idai, which hit communities in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, the Vice President of UCLG Africa for the Southern Africa Region, Rev. Mpho Moruakgomo, will undertake a visit to the region from April 6^th – 9^th, 2019.  The purpose of the visit is to appreciate the negative impact of the cyclone and to discuss with his colleagues, mayors and leaders of subnational and local governments of the respective countries, the way forward and further, to express solidarity and support the actions that the members of UCLG Africa are ready to organize and implement.
