SDG 16 at the heart of the study trip of the students of the American University in Cairo/School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (AUC/GAPP) in Morocco
From 11 to 18 July 2017, the African Local Government Academy (ALGA) of the Pan African Organization United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG Africa) and the American University in Cairo/School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (AUC / GAPP) of Egypt will organize the first study trip to the Kingdom of Morocco for the students of this University.
The theme chosen for this trip is “The main stakeholders and institutions involved in the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies: the experience of the Kingdom of Morocco.” A choice that fits in with the framework of UCLG Africa’s support for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 16: “Promoting the advent of peaceful and open societies for the purposes of sustainable development, ensuring the access of all to justice, and establishing at all levels effective, accountable and open institutions.”
