Registration Open for 38th AAPAM Roundtable Conference, El Jadida, Morocco
The African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) in partnership with The Government of the Kingdom of Morocco; United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG-Africa); and African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) will hold the 38th AAPAM Roundtable Conference on the theme, “A Transformed Leadership: Managing National Resources to achieve the objectives of Africa Agenda 2063 and Sustainable Development Goals.” The conference will be held in El Jadida, Kingdom of Morocco from 6 to 10 November 2017.
Given the need to provide transformational leadership in managing Africa’s resources and working towards the implementation of Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the main objective of the 38th Round-Table Conference is to facilitate a conversation that will propose a basket of measures on effective management of national resources and efficient deployment of Africa’s diverse assets as set and envisioned in Agenda 2063 and the SDGs.
Participants in the conference will represent different categories of stakeholders ranging from Ministers from National, Provincial and Local Government spheres, public administration and members of academia, NGOs and Civil Society organizations, and development and governance agencies such as the African Union (AU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well as the Economic Commission on Africa (ECA) and Microsoft Africa.
Furthermore, the AAPAM 38th Annual Round-table conference will witness the 10th AAPAM Innovative Management Award Ceremony, where winners will be recognized for their outstanding achievement in promoting best practice, excellence and professionalism in public administration and management.
The Director of the African Local Governments Academy (ALGA) of UCLG Africa, Dr. Najat Zarrouk, has been appointed by AAPAM to serve as a jury member for the selection of the winners of the Innovative management award.
