Extension of the deadline of the Call for Internships within UCLG Africa
The Department of Membership Development, External Relations and Networks Coordination within the Pan African Organisation United Cities and Local Governments of Africa-UCLG Africa is recruiting two interns for a 12 month period.
The submission deadline is extended to 29 April 2016. The internship will start on 16 May 2016.
Internship 1: Databases and Records Compilation
The first proposed internship is open to candidates who will be in charge of “Databases and Records Compilation” within the Department of Membership Development, External Relations and Networks Coordination. The intern will be responsible of collecting names, addresses and contact details for the various stakeholders: African National Association of Local Authorities, City Managers, City Engineers, Development partners…
He/she will also be responsible of assisting the directorate with other day-to-day administrative duties.
The preferred qualifications for this internship are Computer science, computer software/computer systems engineering or information technology. Candidates must be fluent in French and English Portuguese and/or Spanish would be an added advantage).

Internship 2: Logistics and Communications Intern
Within the framework of this second internship, the intern will be asked to provide logistical and departmental communication services. The tasks that will be allocated to the selected intern include collecting information through surveys on proposed membership projects, assisting in the setting up and maintenance of programme office records, circulating and following up various calls to members…
The preferred qualifications for this internship are Public Administration, Local Government Administration and Social Sciences. Candidates must be fluent in French and English Portuguese and/or Spanish would be an added advantage).
