On the occasion of his visit to Morocco, Mr Arnaldo Serna (from Peru), the new Coordinator of the PROFADEL International Network, was received on Thursday 11 July 2019 for a courtesy visit by Mr Jean Pierre Elong Mbassi, Secretary General of UCLG-Africa.
PROFADEL, an international Network created in 2000, consists of seven institutes of higher education, training and advisory support in the field of territorial development and decentralization. This Network was born out of the crisis in development models and practices, the crisis in citizenship and the need to pool skills and advice to find solutions at the local, national and international levels.
The Network aims to contribute to ensuring that citizens are able to play their part in the changes in their society, both at the level of Civil Society Organizations and the private sector, and in influencing, designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating public policies.
As a reminder, PROFADEL includes CERSS (Morocco), CIEDEL (France), DELTA-C (Mali), ESCUELA PARA EL DESARROLLO (Peru), FFF Malagazy Mahomby (Madagascar), IRFODEL (Togo) and CCI (Italy).
Mr Serna also had a meeting with the Director of ALGA of UCLG-Africa on the establishment of a partnership and collaboration framework, in the short term, between UCLG-Africa and PROFADEL./.
