GOLD III Steering Committee Meeting

The Secretary General of UCLG Africa Mr. Jean Pierre Elong Mbassi participated in the meeting of the GOLD Report III to be published during the 4th UCLG Congress from October, 1st to 4th 2013 in Rabat, Morocco.

The meeting included regional authors, experts, and representatives of UCLG and its partners. The meeting oversaw and discussed the outcomes and conclusions and recommendations of each of the 7 regional chapters and of the Metropolitan chapter. Among the key findings are the importance of investment in basic services and their infrastructure and the crucial role of local governments in the delivery of these services.
