Consultation on the chapter on the role of metropolitan areas for the GOLD IV Report and the Global Agenda of Local and Regional Governments

United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), and Metropolis are organizing a workshop on the role of Metropolitan Areas in the Global Agenda of Local and Regional Governments. This event will take place in Barcelona on 4 to 5 July 2016.

The participants will have the opportunity to debate and validate two documents:

• The metropolitan areas chapter of the GOLD IV report (Global Observatory on Local Democracy and Decentralization).
• The recommendations on metropolitan areas for the Global Agenda of Local and Regional Governments

The aim of this consultation will be to modify and complement these two documents in line with the work that has been done since the first consultation in March 2015.

This GOLD IV Report will be officially released in the framework of the 5^th UCLG Congress to be held in Bogotá in October 2016.
