E-learning: MOOC on “Planning & Design of Sanitation Systems and Technologies”

Eawag-Sandec, the Department Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development of Eawag, a world leading aquatic research institute based in Switzerland, is launching a revamped Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “Planning & Design of Sanitation Systems and Technologies”.

 

This online course is designed in collaboration with EPFL, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, the World Bank Water and Sanitation Program and the World Health Organization (WHO) and will start on October 17, 2016. The MOOC will be offered for free in English and French.

The MOOC will constantly run on the internet platform Coursera and anyone can join the sessions any time. It will address issues of affordable and context-based sanitation solutions and will provide updates on the newest developments in urban sanitation planning and programming.

In the end of the course, a Statement of Accomplishment will be provided for free by the Eawag-Sandec to those who have completed the MOOC.
