Bangangté Municipality labeled ISO 26000 by AFNOR
The municipality of Bangangté, managed by mayor Mrs. Célestine Ketcha Courtès, obtained its label ISO 26000 delivered by AFNOR, the French Association of Normalization on June 10th, 2016 in Paris. More specifically, this label is a Certificate of the standard AFAQ 26000 for Municipalities, which aims at defining the level of maturity of the procedures adopted by Bangangté local authority on all levels.
The evaluation process was led by the French cabinet of expertise “Essential” from March 25 till April 15, 2016. An evaluation, which examined the relations and the working conditions, the working environment, the loyalty of practices, the collaboration between colleagues, the issues related to consumers, to local communities and to development.
The municipality of Bangangté was able to obtain at the end of this evaluation a grade of 480 points out of 1000, which allowed it to be awarded the Certificate of the standard ISO 26000. A certificate which Mayor Célestine Ketsha Courtès received from the AFNOR Director Mrs. Halimah Pujol, in the headquarters of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) in the French capital.
