The Association of Local Authorities of Tanzania (ALAT) has, in conjunction with the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG Africa) secured a grant of 660,000 EUR from the European Union (EU), to implement the third edition of Mayors Award Scheme in Tanzania (MAS).
The MAS aims to identify and acknowledge, every year, role models in local leadership and the performance of local Councils in terms of promoting and practising effective service delivery, local economic development and good governance at subnational levels. The scheme is thus intended to promote and thereby contribute to the achievement of a performance-based, service deliveryoriented, and citizen-centred governance system that favours the emergence and consolidation of accountable, participatory and inclusive local governments.
ALAT is seeking to recruit/hire suitable persons to fill the following positions, on contract.
