on 27th September 2018 The Prime Minister of United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Kassim Majaliwa Kassim has launched a Mayors Award Scheme Project, which has been designed by UCLG Africa and ALAT , and funded by European Union
Speaking during the launch in 34th ALAT General Assembly in Dodoma ,Tanzania , the Prime Minster  congratulated UCLG Africa and ALAT ,for designing this project , and he also thanked European union for funding this project ,he said that he is hoping this project will be a catalysts for national development agenda.
Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Local Governments and regional Administrations of united Republic of Tanzania Mr. Suleiman Jaffo, Deputy Minister of Local Governments and regional Administrations of united Republic of Tanzania Mr. Josephat Kandege, Permanent Secretary of Local Governments and regional Administrations of united Republic of Tanzania Mr. Mussa Iyombe and Regional Commissioner of City Dodoma Dr. Binilith Mahenge
