Visit of a Delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco to Banjul for the official inauguration of the Decentralized Cooperation Project between the Lagfifat Communal Council and the Banjul City Council
From February 26 to 29, 2024, the Delegation that undertook an official visit to Banjul, Republic of the Gambia, included:

- Mr. Hicham Stital, 2nd Vice-President, Lagfifat Communal Council ;
- Mr. Brahim Ouchene, 3rd Vice-Chairman, Lagfifat Communal Council ;
- Mr. Mohamed Chinoune, 5th Vice-Chairman, Lagfifat Communal Council ;
- Mr. Mostafa Ameur, Programme Officer in charge of FACDI, General Directorate of Local Authorities (DGCT) of the Ministry of the Interior ;
- Dr. Najat Zarrouk, Director of Development, Knowledge Management and the African Local Governments Academy, representing United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG Africa) ;
- Mr. Zouhair El Bikri, Director of Services, Lagfifat Communal Council ;
- Mr. El Haimer Khalid, Administrator, Lagfifat Communal Council ;
- Dr. Juliet Sale Mekone, Director of the West Africa Regional Office, UCLG Africa ;
- Mrs. Saissi Meslouhi Rachida, Expert in Climate Action and Circular Economy ;
- Mrs. Lamien Ouando Adiza, Expert in gender and women’s political participation, Burkina Faso.
This visit, which follows that made to Lagfifat by the Honorable Mayor of Banjul, Mrs. Rohey Malick Lowe, in November 2023, is part of the implementation and finalization of the decentralized cooperation project between the Lagfifat Communal Council and the Banjul City Council, which has been subsidized by the African Support Fund for International Decentralized Cooperation (FACDI) of the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Commune of Lagfifat.
