On the 22nd September 2020, the East African Local Governments Association (EALGA) organize a VIRTUAL WEBINAR ON THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC RESPONSE FOR EAST AFRICAN COUNTY AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATIONS .
The event is Co-Hosted by The Commonwealth Local Government Forum around the theme “Sustainability of EAC County and Local Government Actions in Current and Post COVID 19 Pandemic Times”.
Webinar: “TOWARDS EFFECTIVE INTEGRATION OF AFRICAN LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN WATER GOVERNANCE”.
As part of the preparation of the 9th forum to be organized by the OECD in March 2021 in Dakar(Senegal) on “Governance and economics of water security for sustainable development in Africa“, the OECD in collaboration with the World Water Council, UCLG Africa and other partners is organizing a webinar on 17 September 2020 to analyze the preliminary results of the survey launched among some fifty African cities. This survey is part of the process of the organization of the 9th Dakar forum and in particular the high-level round table dedicated to local authorities on the theme of water security, in the presence of 20 to 25 African mayors who will have taken part in the regional survey on water governance in African cities.
International Community Action Meetings (September 21 – 22, 2020)
Taking into account the current situation and its unpredictable developments in the coming weeks and months, both in France and internationally, the CUF Executive Board has taken the decision to postpone the AICT 2020 Meetings.
Initially scheduled for 6 and 7 July, the Meetings will be held on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September 2020, at the Cité des Sciences in Paris.
We hope to see many of you in September and send you our strongest encouragement to persevere in this unusual weather.
